Abstract

Imam Shatbi's Theory of Ijtihad, a foundational idea in Islamic jurisprudence, is examined analytically in this study. By utilizing a meticulous research approach based on textual analysis and historical contextualization, the study seeks to clarify the nuances of Imam Shatbi's ideas and their relevance to modern legal debate. The main goal is to evaluate Imam Shatbi's theoretical framework critically, taking into account its applicability, relevance, and interpretive flexibility in the context of the larger Islamic legal tradition. The creation of hypotheses that act as tenets for the inquiry is essential to this study.
