Abstract

The educational system is increasingly struggling to address the requirements of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a condition that is growing more common among young children. Although educators in conventional classrooms are increasingly cognizant of effective strategies for facilitating positive results for kids with autism spectrum disorder, it remains essential for them to pursue ongoing professional development in this domain. This literature review aims to examine the diverse challenges encountered by autistic children in the classroom due to their condition. Furthermore, it offers recommendations for educators concerning effective behavioural techniques, social strategies, and academic approaches that can be implemented in the classroom to enhance the academic performance of children with autism spectrum disorder and improve their learning outcomes.
