Abstract

Criminal justice education in Pakistan is pivotal in enhancing the legal and law enforcement system by providing comprehensive knowledge and skills to students aspiring to join the field. With a curriculum encompassing subjects like criminal law, criminology, policing, and corrections, it aims to equip students with a deep understanding of the legal framework, crime prevention, and rehabilitation processes. The focus is on developing critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and problem-solving skills to address the complex challenges of the justice system. While academic institutions offer specialized programs in criminal justice, the field faces challenges such as outdated curricula, insufficient practical training, and limited resources. Reforms are needed to integrate modern criminal justice theories and practices. By fostering collaboration between academic institutions and law enforcement agencies, criminal justice education in Pakistan can contribute to a more efficient and fair legal system, promoting the rule of law and societal safety.
