Abstract

This study explores the crucial role of self-awareness and self-reflection in achieving social reform, guided by Quranic and Hadith principles. Our qualitative analysis reveals that self-awareness and self-reflection are essential for personal and collective transformation. We found that individuals must cultivate self-awareness to recognize and challenge their biases, prejudices, and harmful behaviors, and engage in regular self-reflection to promote social reform, justice, and compassion in Muslim communities and beyond. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on Islamic ethics, personal development, and social change, emphasizing the significance of self-awareness and self-reflection in achieving a more just and equitable society. By highlighting the importance of introspection and personal growth, this study provides a framework for individuals and communities to work towards positive social change and spiritual development.
