Abstract

Dr. Israr Ahmed dedicated his life to promoting the implementation of Islamic values and practices in all areas of life, shaping his worldview and his work at Tanzeem e Islami. Across his books, articles, interviews, and sermons, the renowned scholar explored a wide span of subjects, including Islamic beliefs, rituals, education, family dynamics, and women's political and social roles. However, his views about gender relations presented controversial and often provoked criticism and protests by NGOs and public groups. In this study, we aim to fully explore Dr. Israr Ahmed's perspective concerning the role and equality of men and women in the light of his Tafseer Bayan ul Quran. Through an analysis of his writings and lectures and related pieces of evidence, our results aim to draw implications for a more comprehensive understanding of this critical topic.
