Abstract

This article addresses some of the common themes, which are much important today, like Abrogation in the Holy Qurʼān, direction change of Qibla in Medina, Pilgrimage and signs of Allah, killing of murders in penalty, fasting of Rmadān, Jihād and its conditions, respect of Holy Cities and marriage in Pagans and people of Books, in the commentaries on the Holy Qurʼān by Sh. Muhammad Alī Sābūnī and Muftī Muhammad jalāl al-dīn Qādrī. The Muslims are facing much more problems in every field in contemporary era, especially western challenges in the academic and research field increase the importance of standard Islamic research. Muhammad Jalāl al-dīn Qādrī has set high standard Research in his commentary. He belongs to the sub-continent, so he finds solutions to the problems in accordance with the needs of the majority of the Hanafī. His modern jurisprudence approach is very significant, He advanced the Qurʼānic interpretation in accordance with circumstances adopting the basic sources. Looking to his commentary one can judge that the Hanafī jurisprudence is unique because the Hanafī's efforts to understand the Qurʼān and the solution of the contemporary problems have been very prominent in every era. Muhammad Alī Sābūnī examined the derivation of the Qurʼānic verse and attempted to put the arguments in a very good way and make his opinion clear. He explained the differences of jurists, preferred one of them in the light of persuasive and rational arguments. He identified common interests and secrets in the commands and responded to objections by Orientalists. Explaining the verses of the Holy Quran both commentators cover the subjects using the great research style. They provided Sharīʻah guidance in the public interest in the contemporary issues. An important feature of both commentaries is that they explained the verses and, in the beginning, they put the comprehensive topics. It is much important that both interpretations make it clear that the decree of Allah Almighty and His Last Prophet PBUH is final at every moment and condition.
