Abstract

The consensus of Islamic scholars affirms the unquestionable authenticity of Sahih Bukhari and Sāhih Muslim, underlining their pivotal role in guiding the Ummāh. However, it is essential to acknowledge that some individuals who reject certain Hadīth from these revered collections often do so on the grounds of their perceived conflict with common sense or their assertion that they contradict the Quran. It is worth noting that the authenticity of a Hadīth is not contingent upon aligning with human intellect, as the divine nature of these sayings transcends such considerations. Nevertheless, the consensus of the Ummah, the collective body of Muslim believers, remains unwavering in its validation of the Sahihain—Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim—as trustworthy sources for understanding and practicing Islam.
