Abstract

Sheikh-ul-Quran Maulana Gohar Rahman (RA) was a distinguished scholar, teacher, and political leader whose contributions spanned across religious education, jurisprudential research, and political activism. This research article critically examines his scholarly and political services, highlighting his role in the dissemination of Quranic knowledge, his academic contributions, and his efforts in Islamic jurisprudence. The study also explores his political engagement, including his association with Jamaat-e-Islami, his tenure as a member of the National Assembly, and his advocacy for the implementation of Sharia law in Pakistan.
