Abstract

This article explores the representation of feminine identity and agency in Hameeda Shaheen's poetry, examining how her work redefines traditional notions of femininity and challenges patriarchal norms. Through a cultural feminist lens, this study analyzes Shaheen's poetic depiction of women's experiences, embodiment, and emotional agency. The research reveals the ways in which Shaheen's poetry reclaims feminine spaces and experiences, celebrates women's intuition and emotional intelligence and subverts patriarchal power structures. This study demonstrates Shaheen's significant contribution to feminist literary theory and Pakistani literature, highlighting the importance of women's voices and perspectives in shaping cultural narratives. By foregrounding feminine identity and agency, Shaheen's poetry emerges as a powerful feminist statement, challenging readers to reconsider traditional gender roles and expectations.
