Abstract

The aim of the study was to translate and validate the scales so that our indigenous population could more readily comprehend and respond to the research questionnaires. Thus, the 32-item, five-subscale Cognitive Appraisals of Health Scale Revised (CAHS, Kessler, 1998) was translated into the native language. The 16-item Quality of Life Satisfaction and Enjoyment-Short Form (Q-LES-Q-SF, Stevanovic, 2011) measure was also utilized for the same objective. I conducted our study to determine the validity and reliability of the short form assessments of quality-of-life enjoyment and satisfaction and the revised Health Scale in relation to Pakistani culture. To find out if there are any underlying components in the scale related to our culture, we perform Factor Analysis, including EFA and CFA. 200 female patients with hirsutism in clinics made up our sample. They are chosen using a technique known as purposive sampling. Four variables that encompass the researcher's motivations were identified by EFA. Our findings showed that the scale is appropriate for our culture because of its strong dependability and the existence of these Future Pakistani scholars will be able to investigate various facets of the quality-of-life enjoyment and satisfaction short form and the updated Health Scale cognitive assessments with the aid of our research. This measure can be used by various institutions to determine the variables that may affect the quality of life and Cognitive Strategies experienced by female patients undergoing laser treatment. Using this measure, psychologists can create various interventions and techniques to improve cognitive strategies and increase the happiness and satisfaction of life with hirsutism in females.
