Abstract

Similar to other literary genres, poetry occupies a paramount position within the realm of Urdu literature. Urdu poetry boasts a diverse range of themes, with modern Urdu poetry particularly adept at reflecting societal concerns. It's the most powerful way to spread our culture and the values of socialism. This article tries to explore the intellectual dimensions in the ghazal of Jahangir Iqbal known as Ijaz Tawakkul. His poetry combines aspects of beauty based on scientific and modern sensibilities and maintains a highly developed expression. Ejaz Tawakkal's poetry is filled with important themes like life, grief, romanticism, social consciousness, human compassion, love and instability of the world. Ejaz Tawakkal has used poetic devices such as imagery, versification and sensory metaphors that reveals a beautiful stylistic style. Ejaz Tawakkal's poetry is a modern-era masterpiece, uniquely expressed through ghazals. As a progressive poet, he champions social justice, condemning human exploitation. His work prominently features social and romantic themes showcasing his versatility. Meer Taqqi Meer's poetry significantly influenced Ejaz Tawakkal's style. Ejaz Tawakkal is a shining literary star of the present age, his poetry is a treasure trove of innovative ideas, deep insights and fresh perspectives. He takes the art of ghazal to new heights.This essay explores the poetic structure of Ejaz Tawakkul's works, which reveals the essence of his literary talent.
