Naat is another name for the praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Naatiya poetry refers to poetry in which the position, character, and virtues of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are mentioned. This topic is related to the benefactor of humanity, as love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is part of faith. The Sufis have also played a significant role in developing the genre of Naat recitation. The festivals of Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) and Naatiya Mushairas in the holy month of Ramadan gave rise to this genre. The prevailing trends of Naat, along with the origin of Naat recitation, have been thoroughly discussed in this abstract. The emotions and feelings of Naat poets have been described with full intellectual vigor in this article. This paper upholds the work of several poets in Arab and Deccan cultures who made their mark in Naat recitation. The impact of the Persian language on the Urdu language regarding the art of Naat has also been elaborated upon in this abstract.
