Abstract

This research aims to study the interconnection and harmony between the verses of the Qur’an and its surahs in the two tafsirs whose author paid great attention to the aspect of Qur’anic systems and thematic unity. The main reason for their writing was this aspect of the Qur’an and people’s questions, especially the orientalists who criticized the Qur’an on the aspect of systems as thematic unity. Through this research into the two tafsirs, the objective unity and systems of the Qur’an become clear, which clearly indicates that it is not the words of humans, but it is an eternal miracle indicating that it is from the Lord of the Worlds. This research consists of a preface and two chapters: The preface consists of defining the topic, its importance, and studying its correlation in the two tafsirs. The first chapter consists of the importance of the research, its objectives, its problems, its methodology, the concept of thematic unity and its necessity among the surahs. The second chapter consists of a look at Surat Al-Baqarah in “Al-Asas fi Tafsir” and Tadabbur e Qur’an in terms of thematic unity, clarifying the terms used by them, and linking Surat Al-Baqarah with Surat Al-Fatiha. This research is concerned with analyzing the opinions of the two great mufassirs to find out the common and different points between them. Finally, the research is entailed with the conclusion, the main results and recommendations.
