Abstract

The Almighty Allah manifests His power in diverse ways, extending beyond the spiritual realm to include non-spiritual entities. The soul, as a masterpiece of the Absolute's power, serves as a profound sign of divine prowess, leaving the intellectual facets of humanity awestruck. The creation of various soul beings, exhibiting hierarchies among them, unfolds as an intricate tapestry. Humanity, in particular, witnesses the creation of distinct genders – male, female, neuter, and difficult-to-categorize neuter entities. Regrettably, contemporary society remains largely unfamiliar with these classifications, leaving the newer generations unaware of their existence. The terms Hejra, Khasra, Zinkha, or Khawaja Sarai are used in Urdu, while in Arabic, they are referred to as Mukhans. Despite Islam providing explicit directives and rights for these individuals, a segment of the community remains oblivious to their existence, particularly concerning matters such as prayer, testimony acceptance, Imamat eligibility, inheritance rules, and participation in congregational prayers. This article highlights the urgent and essential issues faced by this community, emphasizing the need for research and necessary initiatives. The objective is to bring awareness to the general public, ensuring that the specific needs of this group are addressed. It is crucial to develop a systematic curriculum at both private and governmental levels, providing education about their rights and integrating them into society. The intention is to empower this special class to lead a fulfilling life in accordance with the principles of Islam.
