Abstract

The purpose of Islamic economics is to enhance human well-being through the thoughtful utilization of Earth's resources, active participation in its development, and fostering mutual cooperation. Islam advocates for collectivity and organization in all aspects of life, extending its invitation and message to all corners of the universe. Contrary to the perception that Islam neglects economic considerations, the concept of economic capacity building and independence holds great significance in Islamic teachings. Islamic education, far from being limited to religious instruction alone, aims to empower individuals for comprehensive success across various facets of life, with a particular emphasis on economic empowerment. Independence, as emphasized in Islamic teachings, entails guiding individuals to choose their career paths based on knowledge, understanding, and personal preferences. This approach enables individuals to make informed decisions, chart their own life trajectories, and pursue both economic development and spiritual growth. In Islamic teachings, the integration of knowledge and action is paramount. Individuals are not only provided with academic education but also receive training in economic matters and moral values. This holistic approach aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals capable of efficiently fulfilling their specific societal responsibilities. It equips them to harness their full potential in the realms of trade, industry, and agriculture. Islam establishes a robust economic system that discourages dependency through begging or enduring poverty. The emphasis is on self-sufficiency in all aspects of social life, ensuring that every follower can contribute meaningfully to every sector. The process of wealth generation is orchestrated in a manner that mitigates class discrimination, fostering a society where each individual becomes self-sufficient and plays a role in the equitable distribution of resources.
