Islam, as a comprehensive guide for human life, extends its principles not only to the animate but also the inanimate and plant realms. Encompassing facets from domestic life to business, societal dynamics to economic structures, and matters of defense to those of peace, it addresses the entirety of human existence. Its teachings and fundamental principles offer guidance on a myriad of issues, fostering harmony not only in the material world but also in the afterlife. Throughout history, humanity has grappled with economic insecurity, an enduring struggle for sustenance since time immemorial. The relentless pursuit of livelihood becomes particularly challenging in the face of infectious diseases, presenting a significant economic distress. The most adversely affected demographic in such circumstances is the labor class. Industrial lockdowns, implemented to mitigate pandemics, result in a stark reduction of income sources, leaving the labor class unemployed and humiliated for extended periods. In times of extreme compulsion, seeking assistance from authorities, friends, family, and close relatives often proves insufficient. Throughout human history, various pandemics have adversely impacted people, yet the Quran and Sunnah provide guidance to navigate through these challenges. It is imperative for individuals to place trust in the sacred essence of Allah while concurrently undertaking practical measures, embracing decisions, and accepting destiny with contentment. This paper sheds light on the challenges faced by employees during pandemics and underscores the guidance offered by Islam in addressing these issues.
