Abstract

This article investigates about the services of Muslims in the field of medical and its related arenas. Today, almost all the medical developments are being carried out by non-Muslims, but it was Muslims who not only made valuable contributions in the field of medical science but also bloom it to its peak. The Muslim made a contrasting revolution in this field and all the world got inspiration from the Muslims. The era from seventh to twelfth century is regarded as the Islamic Golden age. During this era, the Muslim physicians made prodigious and exceptional contributions for the prosperity and welfare of the mankind. The prominent names of this era are Ali b. Mousa al-Ridha,Ali b. Rabbān Tabarī, Ahmad Tabarī, Al-Tamīmī, Al-Majūsī, Ibn Haitham, Ali b. Essa, Ammar Mūṣlī, Abu Bakar Al-Razi, Al-Fārābī, Al-Zahrāwī, Avicenna, Averroes, Ibn Al-Khatib, Ibn Nafees. This article will not only discuss the role of these physicians but also will highlight their contribution along with their inventions and books in the field of medical science.
